A Great Partnership With Parents Is Essential

We deeply respect the role that parents play as the principal carer in their child’s life and we want to develop a close working relationship with you so that we are consistently meeting your family's needs. We find that open, two-way communication is the best way to handle this so we always make time to talk at the beginning and end of each day.
 

We record and share our observations of your child in their individual Learning Journal. These are beautifully presented books that document your child’s experiences, progress, and special moments during their time with us. You are welcome to look through your child’s Learning Journal at any time, and it will be yours to keep and treasure when they leave our setting.

All around the nursery you will see evidence of the children’s experiences and examples of their work. We keep you to up to date with events at nursery through our parent newsletter, our Facebook page and our website.

We hold regular events which we invite parents to – from walks to the woods or local farms to open sessions where parents can see the nursery ‘in action’. Parent Consultations are held every term where you can meet your child’s key worker face to face for a more in-depth assessment of their development.
